Welcome to the OFFICIAL Mariano Rivera Foundation Website

Working Today to Build a Better Tomorrow

The Mariano Rivera Foundation is a community-oriented organization with emphasis in Youth Oriented Programs. We recognize the importance of working today to
build a better tomorrow. The Foundation realizes that to make one successful, that the whole
man’s needs must be provided.
These needs would include areas in education, health, social and economic development in the local community. Listed throughout this website you will find a review of our past accomplishments, a look at our present objectives,
and a glimpse of our aspirations for the future.

George Steinbrenner said “…if you do something good for some person and more than two people know about it—you and the other person—then you didn’t do it for the right reason.” Mariano Rivera has followed Mr. Steinbrenner’s example and founded the Mariano Rivera Foundation. The Mariano Rivera Foundation, while not anonymous, is meant to be discreet. Specifically, the Mariano Rivera Foundation currently supports at least two “computer houses” in underprivileged communities in Mariano’s native Panama, has restored Refugio de Esperanza (The Refuge of Hope), a Christian church in New Rochelle, New York and has created a community center in New Rochelle, New York, as well.

There are a number of additional local benevolences the Mariano Rivera Foundation supports. Visit “Our Programs” for additional information or click below for details regarding the Golf Tournament:

The thirteen-time All-Star discusses his drive to win; the secrets behind his legendary composure; the story of how he discovered his cut fastball; the untold, pitch-by-pitch account of the ninth inning of Game 7 in the 2001 World Series; and why the lowest moment of his career became one of his greatest blessings…
